Organizations count on teams for leadership, program implementation, adhoc problem-solving and many other purposes. They hope that teams will yield improved productivity and overall greater effectiveness, yet often overlook the fact that teams are complex systems requiring attention and care in order to function at a high level. Our team coaching takes place in three phases.
Phase One: the focus is on discovering and assessing the team’s current state, using the web-enabled Team Diagnosticâ„¢ tool. It views the team as a system and points to where the system is strong and where it needs to improve. Debrief of the assessment yields team goals and an action plan.
Phase Two: periodic coaching helps reinforce and refine team practices over a six month period. During this time the team implements the actions identified in the first phase, learning as it goes.
Phase Three: the final phase completes the process as the team reviews learning that has taken place, celebrates successes achieved and points forward with new goals to implement following the coaching process.
